McTeague (Conceptual Project)
Play by Neal Bell
Based on the book by Frank Norris

The play McTeague, by Neal Bell is a story of what happens when a young immigrant wins the lottery in 1890s Sanfrancisco-- the end of the west in all senses. There are 3 couples that run parallel throughout: McTeague and Trina (and Marcus, her ex-beau), Zerkow and Maria, and the elderly Miss Baker and Mr. Grannis. Trina wins the lottery, yet refuses to spend it in spite of McTeague losing his dental license.
